I absolutely loved "Major Pettigrew's Last Stand". It's a comfort read for me, relief from the unmitigated angst and misery of so many of the books I've been reading. But it doesn't go the other way either...it's not fluff, just a good story , well written and a very enjoyable read. I wish there were more like it. Hope you enjoy it!
