Reading Miscellany

* I have 198 books currently on my TBR list. The problem is that I keep getting books, either from the library or the used book store, that aren't on my TBR list.

* Another problem: I forget to bring my TBR list with me to the library. Once I had a copy of it that I kept in the library back, but now I've lost that particular library bag.

* My son has been ordering his college textbooks on amazon.com rather than buying them at the campus bookstore. That means he has a whole stack of books that are tempting me. How much would I love to take all my college courses again? Seriously, except for Earth and Space Science and BASIC computer programming, I think I'd take everything all over again gladly. And with 25 years of perspective.

* But I am reading his The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, which actually is on my TBR list. I'm not sure what class this is for, but it's excellent. I'm about halfway through; I think I can finish before he leaves for college in a week.

* Yes, my oldest is leaving for college in a week. Blogging is a great distraction.

I find I do that sometimes, too - get books that aren't on my list yet, but I still want to read.

Thanks for stopping by my blog - have a great weekend!

Hi there. I'm not officially hopping this week, but found myself with a few free minutes to explore some of the blogs anyway. I have the same problem. I always forget my list or pick things that haven't made it to the list yet. I have about 300 books on the list and probably about 150 at home waiting to be read. Its safe to say that I have a book problem. Have a great weekend.

I hate when I lose my library list. That's why I started using Shelfari.com. That way I can always go online and search the library catalog that way.

Found you through the blog hop. Now a new follower.

198 books! I thought my TBR was HUGE. I keep going to book sales and used book stores and adding to my stack. :0

I love textbooks, too! Glad I'm not the only nerd who thinks it would be FUN to go back and retake classes knowing what I know now.

Prayers for the college separation. I did that a few years ago. Remember when you took the training wheels off his bike? Scared that he might crash but so proud to see him doing it on his own. That's how it is with college. It's a thrill to watch them enact the lessons you taught.
